Hilton is deepening its Africa footprint after signing a record 29 deals across 15 countries, with plans for more than 100 hotels across the continent. The move signals growing confidence in African hospitality and the rising importance of Sub-Saharan markets.

Radisson Hotel Group has crossed the 100-hotel milestone in Africa, signing over 15 new properties and 2,500 rooms in the last 12 months alone. With new market entries in the DRC and Zimbabwe, and deepening presence in Nigeria, Morocco, and South Africa, the Group is accelerating its path to 2030 with one of the continent's most active hotel pipelines.

The Future Hospitality Summit Africa (FHS Africa) will return to Nairobi on 31 March - 1 April 2026, bringing together some of the most influential leaders shaping hospitality, tourism and investment across the continent. The event will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi Upper Hill.

Nissan Motor said on Friday it would sell its manufacturing assets in Rosslyn, South Africa, to the local arm of China's Chery Automobile for an undisclosed sum. Chery SA will buy the land, buildings and associated assets of Nissan's facilities in mid-2026 if conditions, including regulatory approvals, are met by then, the struggling Japanese automaker said in a statement.
